Songwriting Program (SNG)
The SNG program is focused on the artistic craft and business aspects of professional songwriting. Students in the songwriting program complete either the B.S. or B.A. curriculum with a major in Songwriting and a minor in a career related discipline. The objective of the Songwriting program is to help the student develop his or her artistic craft while gaining a practical understanding of the business aspects of a songwriting career.

MA_ (Classical) or MB_ (Commercial) Private Music Lessons (1) Students may choose a one (1) credit hour private music lesson as available through the School of Music. Students may choose up to three (3) credit hours of private music lessons to count as music electives. MUT Music Theory Studnets may choose any MUT course for which pre-requisites are met. Note: Theory Placement Test must be taken before registering for Theory I and Aural Skills I. All advanced levels of Music Theory and Aural Skills are sequential. |

2 Although courses are options listed for the B.S. or B.A. General Education Fine Arts requirement, they do not fulfill the General Education and SNG music elective requirement simultaneously.
