Curricular Concentration in Year 2

During Year Two, all pharmacy students declare an academic concentration in one of four areas: Pharmacotherapy, Information Management, Pharmacy Management, and Pharmacy Missions/Public Health.* With faculty advisor assistance, students identify the area in which they wish to concentrate their study.

*Students in the Interdisciplinary Care Delivery concentration follow a variation of this curricular model. Permission to concentrate in Interdisciplinary Care Delivery is provided through an application process prior to matriculation; participation is limited by slot availability.

Prior to gradation, students must 1) complete at least four (4) elective didactic courses within that concentration, 2) focus their experiential learning activity for PHM 6330 Pharmacy Practice Experience IV or PHM 6355 Pharmacy Practice Experience V within the chosen concentration, and 3) complete at least two (2) elective Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in the chosen concentration.
