Major in Theory
The Theory Major provides a strong foundation in the analysis and composition of a wide variety of styles of music. This major is excellent preparation for graduate study in theory with the eventual goal of university teaching.

2 Secondary applied study must be continued each semester until proficiency is passed. Piano is the required secondary for all principals except keyboard. Keyboard principals take 4 semesters in secondary are of choice. 3 Students in this major whose principal is not piano have only 6 hours of electives due to additional required hours of piano secondary. |
